Course Description
- This course offers a variety of civil engineering courses with a secondary focus on the management of environmental problems that an engineer working in civil engineering faces
- The program focuses on the development of knowledge and skills relevant to professional engineering practice, and it includes strong elements of practical problem-solving, teamwork, and project development, resulting in strong analytical skills and the ability to lead complex projects, in addition to a solid theoretical foundation
- The course covers a foundation in physical and engineering sciences, as well as computer-aided design, engineering materials, surveying, and other key civil engineering disciplines
- Following this are more specialized civil and environmental engineering curriculum areas such as structural analysis and design, hydrology and hydraulics, construction technology and site management, and project management
- Advanced studies in environmental risk assessment and management, water and wastewater treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection systems, waste disposal and management, air-borne pollution control, and the principles that ensure long-term sustainable engineering design solutions are also included in the course
