The Master of Architecture is the key to meeting the academic requirements leading to registration as Architect
In this course, students will be trained as an integrated urban professional, with vision to design progressive architecture that responds to the dynamic needs of contemporary society and speculates about the future of our built environment
Students will undertake high-level study in specialised areas of architecture, from housing and urban design to digital practices
This course offers a coursework postgraduate program of education in the discipline of architecture and provides the second of two degrees required for professional registration
The academic program focuses on research-led architectural design teaching and learning through advanced studios and depth-unit architectural studies electives

Academic Requirements

Entry Level 1: Duration: 3 years full-time (144 points)
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with at least distinction (70%) average
Entry Level 2: Duration: 2 years full-time (96 points)
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Architecture with at least distinction (70%) average, or, successful completion of the Master of Urban Design course at Monash University’s Jakarta, Indonesia campus. This qualifying bachelor degree must have been completed within 5 years of the proposed commencement of the Masters program. Students who have successfully completed the Bachelor of Architectural Design at Monash University will automatically progress to the 2-year Master of Architecture
