Course Description

  • ​The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) is a higher-level qualification than a bachelor degree, as it has honours-level content integrated throughout the course
  • QUT’s contemporary law degree will provide students with the knowledge and confidence they need to take advantage of employment opportunities in an array of legal careers, including growth areas such as intellectual property, and law and technology
  • Through study, students will understand key areas of law and develop advanced knowledge in areas that interest them
  • Students will develop necessary legal skills such as legal research, problem-solving, dispute resolution, and oral and written communication
  • This course will help students understand and promote the ethical standards of the legal profession and to appreciate international and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives

Academic Requirements
  • GCE A-Levels: English Language, English Literature or English Language, and Literature with a minimum grade of C
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD) completed 2-year program with achievement in one of the following subjects with a grade of 3 (higher level) or 4 (standard level)

    English A: Literature
    English B
    Completed within five years of starting at QUT
  • General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) O level / International GCSE (IGCSE):
    O Level: Minimum grade C or 5 in English, English Language, English (First Language), English as a Second Language, or English Literature.
