Course Description

• Students will be able to interpret and apply information about health-related determinants, behaviors, and interventions from a variety of disciplines
• Students will be able to use research skills to update health-related professional knowledge as a foundation for independent lifelong learning
• Students will be able to critically evaluate evidence pertaining to preventive health interventions in order to identify effective and ineffective approaches to addressing health issues and their contributing variables
• Students will be able to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate preventive health projects for people from all backgrounds and in a variety of contexts
• Students will be able to critically analyze and evaluate research literature, quantitative and qualitative data, and communicate results effectively both orally and in writing
