Course Description

• Before determining which discipline to pursue, students can learn more about engineering and its various fields by enrolling in a common first year of study
• The common first year gives students a solid foundational knowledge in mechanics, materials, fluids, statistics, physics, chemistry, computing, engineering science, and communication
• Then, students concentrate on their second-year major study choice
• Participating in the Professional Options Program will allow students to receive credit for relevant job experience they have had, whether it was overseas or in Australia
• Construction, mining, resources, aerospace, electronics, engineering management, telecommunications, electricity production and distribution, renewable energy, water resource management, robotics and manufacturing, railroad, and shipbuilding are just a few of the areas where engineers work
