Course Description

• Students will learn how electrical energy is generated and used in residential, commercial, and industrial structures
• Students will gain advanced knowledge in the design and construction of electrical energy generation, transmission, control, and utilization systems
• The course is intended to train and improve professional practice, advance technical and specialist skills, and provide an opportunity to apply theory through applied projects and research
• Professional Communications and Engineering Workplace Practice, Innovation and Design, Advanced Laboratory, and Research Methods are the core subjects that students will complete
• Students pursuing an Electrical major will study Advanced Signals and Systems, Power System Analysis, Renewable and Distributed Generation, as well as electives in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Engineering
