 </li><li>Under the guidance of their dedicated professors, students will enhance their team building, facilitation and networking skills through a variety of dynamic courses, including Community, Service and Active Citizenship, Bridging Classroom and Community, and Community Practicum
 </li><li>Outside the classroom students will participate in an experiential learning opportunity while being mentored by Brescia’s faculty and community partners
 </li><li>As a Community Development student, students will take their learning off-campus to collaboratively work with an organization in the London community. Through these experiences, they will build their network connections to prepare them for life beyond Brescia

<ul><li>When students choose to study Family Studies &amp; Human Development at Brescia, they will consider the changing structure of families and various ways family and child relations influence economic and social policies </li><li>In this course, students can tailor their degree to explore theories of family structures in Canada, understand how laws and policies can affect families or research the complexity of child development – in Brescia’s Family Studies program, they decide </li><li>Under the guidance of their dedicated and academically renowned professors, students will enhance their writing, research and critical thinking skills through a variety of dynamic courses, including Immigrant and Refugee Families, Family Practices in a Global World and Comparative Family Policy </li><li>Outside the classroom, students have the opportunity to build their resume by receiving the Professional Home Economist designation (PHEc) with the Ontario Home Economics Association </li><li>Students can take their learning abroad, by taking advantage of an experiential learning trip to Japan. There they will not only learn about education and family relations with the Japanese university partner but experience Japanese culture </li></ul>

 </li><li>Under the guidance of their bold professors, students will learn critical thinking, communication and social awareness skills through a variety of dynamic courses, including Diversity and the Canadian Family, Educational Psychology and Culture and Food
 </li><li>Students will discover their opportunity to study food and nutrition cultures from around the world in Japan

<ul><li>When students choose to study Foods and Nutrition at Brescia, they will study a wide range of concepts surrounding nutrition, while diving into the impact the food industry has on our global world </li><li>Students will analyze societal determinants of health, research the chemical composition of food, or explore how cultures can influence food habits – in Brescia’s Foods and Nutrition program, they decide </li><li>Under the guidance of their award-winning professors, students will evaluate the nutritional merits of food products while increasing their research and critical thinking skills </li><li>Students' understanding of food and nutrition will be enhanced through a variety of enlightening courses, including Fundamentals of Community Nutrition, Food Production Management, Nutrition Education and Communication, and Agriculture and Food Systems </li><li>Through this course, students have an opportunity to work with local farmers and food manufacturers to discover food industries and gain hands-on experience with food production </li></ul>

<ul><li>When students choose to study Nutrition and Dietetics at Brescia, they will have the opportunity to explore their passion for nutrition, while gaining a strong foundation for a career in nutrition and dietetics
 </li><li>Brescia’s Nutrition &amp; Dietetics program is accredited by the Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP) and prepares graduates for application to a dietetic practicum program that can lead to registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the professional regulating body, the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO). This module supports the attainment of the Integrated Competencies for Dietetic Education (ICDEP) at the undergraduate level as required by PDEP
 </li><li>In this accredited program, students will examine food safety, learn clinical nutrition from assessment to therapy, create a nutrition education program plan, and improve their food skills in the new commercial kitchen
 </li><li>Under the guidance of experienced professors, students will also have the opportunity to take elective courses to further develop their areas of interest, including Sensory Evaluation of Food, Nutrition and Physical Activity, and Policy Development and Advocacy
