  • Course Duration2 Years
  • IntakeWinter: January 2026

Course Description

  • Students acquire the professional information and abilities required to qualify and practice as a registered social worker with leadership potential
  • The curriculum is unique in that it was created in collaboration with the MSc Physiotherapy and MSc Occupational Therapy programs to equip you to function effectively in the complex and quickly changing context of health and social care
  • Students will investigate the legal and ethical contexts of social work in these areas, establishing some of the key knowledge, skills, and values needed to involve people who have faced adversity, abuse, or other forms of social injustice in the assessment of their needs and decision-making regarding their support
  • Students will learn alongside pre-registration students in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy throughout their studies, and graduate together
  • The significance of research and evidence is emphasized throughout, and a full-time work placement at the conclusion of the first year allows students to connect theory with practice and consolidate all of their learning from the year
