Course Description

• In this course, students will discover the wide range of opportunities that exist in media production whilst giving them the opportunity to come together to better understand contemporary media production and distribution practices and the resulting network effects driven by social media

• In addition to producing practical work for contemporary online content platforms, students will also produce work related to areas of emerging content production, such as augmented and mixed reality applications in the state-of-the-art facilities

• Alongside the practical skills students will gain, the course explores the cultural and political debates surrounding the role and responsibilities media platforms and governments have towards today’s audiences, enabling them to forge their own career path within a dynamic, constantly evolving industry

• On completion of the course, students will graduate with an impressive portfolio of original work which they will have the opportunity to showcase in the creative technologies degree show which evidences to employers that they are ready for a career in an ever-changing digital and technological landscape

• Students will get agency experience working for South Bank Collective – LSBU's registered commercial creative agency
