Course Description

• This course will provide students with the skills and professional knowledge required to begin a career in this rapidly developing area
• Students will have access to VIPER, one of the most powerful high-performance computers in the higher education sector, and also expertise from departments throughout the Faculty of Science and Engineering, including Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics
• The curriculum is designed for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and non-STEM graduates who want to enhance their digital abilities. It is also appropriate for those who want to upskill and advance their careers
• Students will be able to apply artificial intelligence and data science approaches to real-world issues, critically assess AI and data science methodology, organize, develop, and carry out empirical research, and understand, present, and communicate the results of data science and AI solutions
• Through this course, students will cover topics such as programming, statistics, machine learning, big data, data visualization, computer vision, and the ethical and legal responsibilities of using data​
