Course Description
The MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice requires students to engage with current concerns confronting the criminal justice system from both a criminological and legal standpoint
This course has been designed to provide students with the conceptual tools necessary to engage with such issues, and also a broad range of cognitive, analytical, and general transferable skills such as judging and evaluating evidence, interpreting data, generating and synthesizing information, and formulating reasoned arguments
The degree combines social science and legal education and provides a challenging program enhanced by research, scholarship, and knowledge exchange to prepare students for postgraduate study and research, as well as for the job
This program will require students to complete four core modules, two optional courses, and a dissertation
There are lectures across the course, and students participate in two-hour seminar sessions that may involve group discussions and some group presentations
