Course Description

• The graduate sequence in Cognitive and Experimental Psychology emphasizes study in basic research content areas (e.g., behavioral neuropsychology, conditioning, perception, learning, memory, psycholinguistics, and cognitive development) as well as the development of quantitative and methodological skills
• The program focuses on three core areas: behavioral, neurology, and cognitive science, which provide a fundamental basis for subsequent graduate study and can ease entrance into non-academic research-related jobs
• The goals of this series include providing students with a firm foundation in fundamental psychology research that will help them understand and explain behavior
• Two years of full-time enrollment on campus is required to complete the master's degree
• Each semester, the Cognitive and Experimental Psychology (CxP) Colloquium Series at Illinois State University brings many researchers from across the world to campus to offer research colloquia
