Course Description

• The Bachelor of Science with a major in chemistry degree is intended to give a solid foundation in chemistry and allied disciplines, as well as an appropriate educational balance in the liberal arts
• The curriculum is designed for students who want to work in business or in government laboratories, as well as those who want to pursue doctoral studies in chemistry
• The American Chemical Society has approved the Bachelor of Science degree program in chemistry
• Students in this program are highly advised to complete one or more semesters of independent research (Chemistry 400H or 420)
• The application of chemical engineering concepts to biochemical and biological systems, nanoscale devices, polymer processing, and innovative energy systems will be studied by students in this degree program
