Course Description

• The undergraduate degree program in Biomedical Engineering provides four tracks from which students may develop their major expertise: biomaterials, biomechanics, biomedical imaging and instrumentation, and bioinformatics
• Biomedical engineering is a science-based engineering field that combines engineering and biology into a single curriculum
• The MU biomedical engineering department provides students with a wide education that qualifies them for employment in traditional engineering as well as medicine, veterinary medicine, law, health care, policy, and academia
• Graduates in biomedical engineering are employed by biotechnology, medical, and pharmaceutical firms, as well as government organizations and significant research laboratories
• Following graduation, many of our undergraduate students go on to graduate, medical, or law schools
