Course Description

• The department takes a wide scientific approach to understanding human biology and behavior in the past and present, based on ecology and evolutionary theory
• The graduate program includes tough coursework as well as a diverse range of hands-on field and laboratory research opportunities
• Students collaborate closely with a faculty adviser who assists them in obtaining fellowships/grants and developing collaborative research projects
• Biological Sciences, Ancient Mediterranean Studies, Integrative Anatomy, Public Health, Museum of Anthropology, MU Research Reactor, and others outside the department at MU typically serve as committee members and resources for expanding students' research programs
• Current and previous graduate students have conducted research in the field, lab, and analytical domains with success
