Course Description

• The Film and Theatre Areas of the School of the Arts offer a Master of Fine Arts degree with four subjects of study: Film-Production, Film-Screenwriting, Theatre-Performance (Acting or Directing), and Theatre-Design (Scenic, Lighting, or Costume)
  
• The National Association of Schools of Theatre collaborates with the Department
  
• Students must be familiar with all areas of the filmmaking process, from scripting and directing through cinematography, sound, and editing
  
• Film theory and history are also important components
  
• The UNO Screenwriting Program is centered on a vibrant workshop approach that allows MFA students to acquire the craft of screenwriting while conceiving and writing their own projects
