- The department's graduate program's overall training goal is to produce well-trained applied scientists capable of assisting clinical psychologists and working as a mental health professional (MS objective) or teaching, conducting research, and providing professional service delivery (Ph.D. objective)
- Students have significant contact with faculty through classes, graduate committees, and other official and informal departmental activities, regardless of degree purpose
- Students will have the chance to contact virtually all of the faculty members in the department due to the size and collaborative style of the faculty
- In Applied Psychology, UNO offers a Master of Science and a Doctorate of Philosophy
- Students may apply for either the MS or Ph.D. programs in psychology
