Course Description

• The MS in Urban Studies Program immerses students in the multidisciplinary study of cities and the urbanization process
  
• Students can pursue innovative programs of study that rely on the resources of numerous departments and a broad set of faculty members at the University of New Orleans through subfields in anthropology, cultural resource management, historic preservation, and urban planning
  
• MS alumni work in historic preservation, cultural resource management, and the arts, as well as urban planning, public administration, and government
  
• Students are also prepared to do specialized research leading to a doctorate in urban studies or allied subjects such as urban planning, anthropology, sociology, and hotel management
• The MS program is an interdisciplinary course of study centered on a foundational understanding of urban literature as well as research design and techniques.
