• Students pursuing the MURP degree get professional training in preparation for positions in the governmental, corporate, and non-profit sectors of urban and regional planning
  
• The program is meticulously designed to give students a solid foundation in the abilities required to handle complex planning challenges in professional practice
  
• Environmental and Hazard Mitigation Planning, Historic Preservation, Housing and Community Economic Development, Land Use and Urban Design, and Transportation Planning are among the specialities available in the 45-credit hour program
  
• These specialties allow students to receive more specialized instruction in their chosen field
  
• In addition, the Department provides a certificate program in Historic Preservation and a certification program in Hazard Planning
