Master of Counselling

The Master of Counselling program will provide students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills for a successful career in professional counselling
It is accredited with both major professional associations, the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
The program involves completing 32 units comprising:
- 16 units from MCouns Year 1 Courses, and
- 16 units from MCouns Year 2 Courses
The program adopts an integrative theoretical and practical focus which incorporates many areas from person-centered to brain-based approaches
Students will develop knowledge, skills, and competencies for professional practice in counseling and be able to competently support individuals, couples, families, and groups in the community

Academic Requirements

A bachelor's degree with demonstrated prior learning in the social and behavioral sciences (e.g. in social work, psychology, social welfare, behavioral studies, human services, nursing, therapies, medicine, or related fields)
The minimum GPA to be considered for admission into this program is 4.0
