Overview

Based in London, Ontario, Brescia University College is a Catholic women's college focused on liberal arts. Established in 1919, Brescia is the only Canadian women's university-level college. Founded by the Ursuline Sisters of Chatham, the university began its functions as the Ursuline College. In 1963, the university transformed into Brescia College before adopting its present name in 2001. Also going by BUC, the institute has affiliations with:

BUC currently serves as the education centre for 1,600 students, of which 1350 are full-time students and 200 are part-time learners. The university offers multiple undergraduate and one postgraduate degrees. It also offers a pre-university preliminary year program. The following four academic areas oversee these programs:

Students can also choose from numerous exchange programs, experiential education, and international course experiences.

Brescia has a campus in a beautiful setting that provides its students with a multitude of facilities and services. This campus provides students with a care program and a safe space for education. The Beryl Ivey Library holds a collection of unique and rare resources in the printed and digital form for teaching, learning, and research purposes. On-campus accommodation is available to 300 students in Clara Hall. Students can join Brescia Students' Council Clubs and cultural clubs that prioritize diversity and inclusivity. Besides high quality IT services, students can avail themselves of athletics, accessibility, food, and conference services. Apart from these, the campus houses the Hive, the business office, Mother St. James Memorial Auditorium, and a computer lab.
