Located in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Laurentian University is a mid-sized bilingual Canadian public university. Incorporated in 1960, the university also goes by Université Laurentienne or LU. On top of being a primarily undergraduate university, the university is the largest bilingual provider of distance education in the country. Laurentian has affiliations with:

LU currently hosts 6,522 undergraduate and 506 graduate students. Among them, approximately 577 are international while over 1,800 are Francophone students. These students can choose from over 175 programs at graduate, undergraduate, and doctorate levels. The university also offers 59 French-language undergraduate and graduate programs.
