Chartered in 1967, the University of Winnipeg is a public research university in Manitoba, Canada. Its roots date back more than 145 years through its founding colleges: Manitoba College (1871) and Wesley College (1888). These two colleges merged to form the United College in 1938. Presently, many people refer to this university as UWinnipeg. This institute has affiliations with:

The University of Winnipeg’s only campus houses 23 buildings. UWinnipeg’s library holds over 750,000 items including videos, books, microfiche, and periodicals. There is also a bookstore and multiple restaurants on the university’s premises. Students seeking accommodation can live in one of the two residence halls on-campus. The university’s athletic teams, the Winnipeg Wesmen, include the men's and women's volleyball and basketball teams and a women's soccer team.
