Course Description

• Students have the option of pursuing a BA in Economics and Finance or a BBA in Economics in Finance
• The field of finance has its roots in the discipline of economics
• This program provides students with the conceptual tools to understand a number of issues from modern finance theory and applications
• The program provides students with a solid understanding of the operation of capital markets and capital market instruments, including equities, fixed income securities, as well as futures markets, options, and other derivatives
• Students gain an in-depth understanding of topics in modern finance and financial economics as they relate to the capital structure of firms and how these financial instruments affect the overall operation of modern financial systems
