• Chemistry is the essential science to the building blocks of life
• This subject spans all aspects of human lives, from health and nutrition to scientific discoveries and the management of an environmentally sustainable world
• A degree in this “central science” can take students anywhere, allowing them to specialize in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Physical Chemistry
• If students are interested in understanding the structure of matter and how it behaves on a molecular level, they may be drawn to the field of chemistry and this program
• Chemical science plays a role in dealing with many challenges today, from pollution and the scarcity of fresh water to food production and the development of vaccines and drugs
