Course Description

• This program teaches students to use their expertise in agricultural research, health care research, quality control, and actuarial work and to use data to make predictions about sales, product demand, weather forecasts, and product quality
• Statisticians design and analyze the results of clinical trials to study the safety and effectiveness of new medications or to compare cancer treatments
• Almost every government agency employs statisticians, which means that graduates of this program can find government jobs
• Graduates work with specialists such as economists, biologists, chemists, and doctors to assist in the design of experiments and the analysis of research data
• Graduates of this program are highly employable with the majority working for private corporations or government departments and agencies
