University College Cork, one of Ireland’s leading research institutes, came into being in 1845. The university, once known as Queen’s College, Cork, offered access to higher education in the province of Munster. Along with the Queen’s Colleges in Galway and Belfast, the university took its name from Queen Victoria. It consists of three campuses. It consists of three campuses. The Main Campus, North Mall Campus, and Western Campus are within 15 minutes’ walking distance of each other.
UCC is unrivaled in the standard of its academic programs. Approximately 22,000 students enrol in undergraduate and postgraduate programs from this world-class university.
