Course Description
- Kent’s unique MA in Social Psychology program allows students to sample a range of modules from the Developmental, Organizational, and Political programs as well as other modules related to Social Psychology
- Taught by the outstanding research group of Kent School of Psychology, this program helps students gain a thorough grounding in research methods, and conduct a project in any area of Social/Applied Psychology
- Teaching and research covers the psychology of intergroup behavior, group decision and performance, attitudes and persuasion, organizational psychology, social cognition, children’s self-concept and social attitudes, and cross-cultural questions, relating social psychological research in these areas to social problems
- The curriculum offers four compulsory and two optional modules including Statistics and Methodology, Social Psychology, Advanced Research Project, Groups, Teams and Organizations, Developmental Psychology in Professional Practice, and Political Psychology
- Expert academics conduct assessments based on coursework assignment (4-6,000-word essays), examination (for the Advanced Statistics and Methodology module only), and the dissertation
