The University of Sheffield earned the Royal Charter in 1905 after merging three colleges. It has six faculties, one of them being international. 50 departments offer around 500 courses in total. Out of 30,000 students, over 7,000 come from more than 150 countries worldwide. It employs more than 5,000 staff members.
This university guarantees housing for all international students. The student capacity is around 6,000 in total. Both single and shared rooms are available in the halls.
