• The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science curriculum emphasizes software and software systems, with coursework ranging from theoretical to practical
• Students will gain knowledge in software development, engineering, computer networking, and data security
• Through hands-on projects, students will also be trained in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C++, and SQL
• Students pursuing a degree in computer science or computer information systems at UM-Flint will have the chance to do research through the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program
• UROP permits students of various levels of education to do paid or voluntary research with academics on cutting-edge initiatives
